Simplified Insurance Evaluation
At Renmar DME, we know navigating insurance for new medical equipment can be confusing. That's why we offer a streamlined process to get you started quickly.
Simply share your contact details and insurance information with our dedicated team. Our insurance specialists will then use this information to check if their current plan covers the desired equipment.
Renmar DME works with many types of insurance, including Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial health plans.
Detailed Evaluation and Collaboration
Next, we focus on creating a personalized equipment plan. ou will be asked to see your physician or NP for a Face to Face visit which is to discuss your need for a wheelchair and why. The Face to Face visit notes are sent to Renmar through our secure fax 855.543.3645. Renmar will schedule an appointment for a wheelchair evaluation with you and your therapist (PT or OT). This team will determine the best wheelchair options based on what your insurance allows.
Seamless Delivery and Support
The final step in our exceptional process is delivering the new equipment directly to the home. Our team will work closely with you to schedule a time that works best. Upon arrival, an experienced technician will provide comprehensive instructions on how to operate the equipment and answer any questions you may have. They'll also make any necessary on-site adjustments to ensure optimal comfort and functionality.
Simplifying Insurance Approval
Once we have a custom equipment plan in place, your Renmar DME team will submit a Prior Authorization (if applicable) to your insurance company. Once approval is received, Renmar will purchase your chair.

Several things contribute to how long this will take, including:
Often the face-to-face meeting (first bullet above) and associated paperwork from your doctor or appropriate licensed certified medical professional (LCMP) can take a long time. Although Renmar office staff is highly trained to shepherd this process, it is very helpful for the patient and their caregivers to be involved in keeping appointments scheduled and paperwork moving.
The demo process – if you try several demos before you find the equipment that is right for you.
How long it takes to get the documentation (LMN) from your therapist. Renmar utilizes a best-in-class process and software program to shorten this time, with the LMN typically being completed by the therapist while at the assessment with our team.
How long it takes for your doctor to sign and complete the necessary documentation.
Does your insurance require a Prior Authorization? If yes, then we must receive all documentation from your insurance first. It can take anywhere from two to eight weeks for a response from the insurance, depending on the insurance company.
How long it takes for the manufacturer to get the equipment to Renmar, from when we place the order.
Your equipment may require assembly and set up before we deliver it to you.
Arranging a time to deliver the equipment that meets everyone’s schedules. Also, ensuring that the phone number and address we have on file is current for you.
